Wanda, Betty, Pam and I went out to the dedication of the new wind generators out by Nutt today. Ended up being a real nice day for the event. We toured the operation/maintenance building which is full of great photos of the entire building of the farm from ground breaking to the finish.
After touring the area we headed for the portable tent which had been erected for the occasion. Tables and chairs were set up and they were building fresh Tacos and plenty of goodies to go with them.
After the goodies several of the operations personnel, local dignitaries made some short speeches.
Get a load of these things, those blades are 170 ft each. There is a total of I believe 28 generators which put out 50 megawatts.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony followed
We then went out to the Nutt bar to see Tom and Suzan, and of course have a couple. A nice end to the day.
